Most energy efficient CSP® plant in the world
When SMS group invented CSP® (Compact Strip Production) technology in 1989, it became a milestone in sustainability, as casting and flat rolling were combined in a single process for the first time. The CSP® Nexus plant of H2 Green Steel will be the next revolution in hot strip production. It will be the most energy efficient in the world, as induction and electrical heaters replace gas-fired tunnel furnaces.
The CSP® Nexus plant is followed by a combined pickling and tandem cold rolling mill.
